Contest (project awarded) for the new municipal indoor swimming pool of Vinaroz (Castellón, Spain)

A building composed of three different bodies. The most voluminous, where the two swimming pools are located, is covered with a glass curtain wall and sun protections made of tramex. The higher one, which contains the annexed spaces of the swimming pool, such as the changing room and a grandstand on the first floor, is covered with natural stone tiles. The smaller block, which is partially embedded within the glass volume, contains the administrative functions of the building. For the last volume, a system of metal “sandwich” panels is chosen, in order to provide the proposal with a more technological appearance.
